  • Commented (for documents with tracked revisions)
  • Formatted (subject to document properties and quote)
Edited documents

Written documents are subject to quotation depending on the nature and size of the work. The following are among the types of writing Final.Copy can consider.
  • Academic (compositions and research papers)

Your Final Copy. Typically, the final copy you get will be a document showing your original and the corrected version. In some cases, documents are provided where you can accept or reject each change. There are two general possibilities.
  • Original and Corrected Version (The original appears with corrected version in square brackets appearing below it. See different samples below on this page.)
  • Tracked Revisions (You can accept/reject revisions. See "Proofread documents" below on this page.)
File Formats. Final.Copy typically delivers work in the following file formats.
  • PREFERRED--Text only (.txt), suitable for copying and pasting into whatever kind of document you want to produce.
  • PREFERRED--Open Office formatted document (.odt), suitable for accepting and rejecting changes as well as printing and converting to other file formats (e.g., .rtf).
  • Microsoft Word document (.doc), suitable for accepting and rejecting changes as well as printing.
  • Hypertext mark-up language (.htm/.html), suitable for reading on the World Wide Web.
  • Portable document format (.pdf), suitable for immediate e-publication.
  • Compressed file(s) (.zip), suitable for easier electronic delivery of large documents or projects.
Word count. In general, the program you use to deliver a document to Final.Copy is the one used to calculate number of words, and thus the costs for service. The final, corrected copy is used for the word count, not the original.

Programs. Among the programs Final.Copy regularly uses, in order of preference, are:

Text and Code Edited (no formatting)
  • PREFERRED--TextPad 5.2
  • PSPad
HTML (design view, Web and scripted pages)
  • PREFERRED--Dreamweaver 8
Word Processed (formatted for printing)
  • PREFERRED--Open Office 2.2
  • MS Word 2000
If your preferred program is not here, the most suitable, readily available tool will be used to deliver your final copy.

Style Sheets. Final.Copy focuses primarily on language--writing, editing, proofreading. However, you may need a final copy in a particular format. Final.Copy will format your document according to the style sheet or manual you choose. However, the more specialized the style sheet, the higher the cost for formatting. All formatted work is subject to quotation. Length, complexity, level of language, the use of specialist language, and so forth figure into individualized quotations for work. Here are the most common formats Final.Copy works with: APA, MLA, and Chicago.

Payment for Service. A deposit for work to be performed and the balance upon completion can be handled by bank transfer or PayPal per preliminary and final invoices issued by Final.Copy.
